Teng-Ab Retreat House

Your mountain retreat experience…

There is something mystical with mountains…

Several among the paramount events in the scriptures transpired in boondocks.

Yahweh’s plan for the chosen people were mostly revealed in mountains of historical importance.

In the Gospel  narratives, mountains gave witness to the significant episodes in the life, ministries, sufferings, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In our contemporary times, mountain serves as our refuge from the stress and noise of city life.

Truly, the meaning of human existence is best contemplated in an ambiance wherein one feels the magnanimity of The Thou.

Mountain, with its awesome, embracing view provides such experience of transcendence.

Teng-Ab Retreat House, cradled in the scenic mountain range of Bontoc, offers opportunity for an individual or a group to engage in mountain retreat amidst the transcendental beauties of Ifugao and Mountain Province.

It is a restful place of solitude, an open invitation for every weary soul to pray and have intimate communion with God in the beautiful landscape of His creation.

This is YOUR MOUNTAIN RETREAT EXPERIENCE….

Owned and managed by the Apostolic Vicariate of Bontoc-Lagawe, Teng-Ab Retreat House aims to provide conducive venue for retreat, recollection and other worthy spiritual exercises.

It is part of the mission of the house to develop and offer, in the near future, spirituality courses for clergy, seminarians, nuns and lay faithful.

Sharing in the evangelical call of the Vicariate to promote missionary church in the provinces of  Ifugao and Mountain Province, it envisions to house the seminars and workshops of Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) and the different ministries. It also broadens its range of service by accommodating the formation programs of Catholic institutions and lay organizations/movements from other provinces and cities. Schools and universities may also reserve the house for the spiritual activities of students, faculty and non-academic personnel.

It has adequate facilities for individual and big group accommodations. Speakers and facilitators are available upon request in advance. The staff may also be requested to arrange and assist the hiking and educational tours to other places of interests.
